Pickles Drop Game Two Against Rival Ridgefield

On a scorching hot night at Walker Stadium, unfortunately it was the Ridgefield Raptors who got off to a hot start with the bats.  With Daniel Naughton, the Gonzaga University starter on the mound, Ridgefield led off the game with three straight singles, two of which came around to score.  The Pickles were never able to redeem those two runs and eventually lost by a score of 8-1.  A pair of 3-5 performances at the plate led the Raptors from Michael Hicks and Dominic Enbody, along with a tough starting performance from Joey Martin. The Pickles got a solid relief performance from Michael Newstrom who had 6 strikeouts over 4 innings of work.  The Pickles ended the night with 3 hits as a team coming from Kyle Manzardo, Alex Lambeau, and Jonathan Kelly.  Pickles back in action to wrap up their series with Ridgefield tomorrow, first pitch at 7:05
