Pickles Knock Off First Place Sweets In Game Two

The Portland Pickles wasted no time taking the lead in game two of their away series with the Walla Walla Sweets.  The Pickles put up six runs in the top of the 1stinning and eventually hung on to win the game by a score of 8-7.  Jarrod Billig, the Seattle U left-hander got the start on the mound throwing three innings and only surrendering one earned run.  Isaiah Montoya ended up getting the win on the mound with his scoreless inning of relief.  The Pickles were led on offense by a 2-3, 2 RBI day by Alex Shanks and a 1-4 3 RBI day from Colton Cassinelli.  The Pickles will wrap up their series with the Sweets Thursday with another 6:35 PT start before returning home Friday night to take on the Victoria HarbourCats.
