He Came, He Saw, He Skoro(d), Pickles Take Opener

The Pickles returned home from their short road trip and wasted no time entertaining the Walker Stadium faithful.   They entered the bottom of the 8thinning trailing 5-2 and then promptly loaded the bases.  After a strikeout and an RBI groundout, the scene was set for Gabe Skoro with runners on second and third with two outs.  Skoro proceeded to launch a 1-2 pitch over the left field fence that put the Walker Stadium faithful into pandemonium.  Joey Morris struck out the side in the top of the 9thto nail down the 6-5 win for the Pickles.  Brad McVay got the win, throwing a solid 4 innings of relief only giving up one run, while striking out 6.  Pickles were led on offense by a pair of 2-4 performances from Alex Lambeau, and Gabe Skoro.  Pickles will be back in action tomorrow with a doubleheader.  Afternoon game at 1:05 against the Hayesville Hammers, followed by a 7:05 game against Victoria.
