After an emotional win last night the Pickles were back in action taking on the Hayesville Hammers in a non-conference matinee. Hayesville jumped out to an early lead of 3-0, but just like the night before the Pickles battled back. It was a 2 run homerun by Connor Wojahn that capped off a 3 run bottom of the 5thto tie the ballgame for Portland. That tie help place until the bottom of the 7thwhen once again Wojahn came through with a groundball that shot passed the Hayesville shortstop and brought in the game winning run for a 4-3 Portland victory. Pickles pitchers combined for 15 strikeouts in the win and after the second inning only allowed two hits and no runs.
