8th Inning Magic Strikes Again for Portland in 3-2 Victory

Last night the Pickles did it in the 8thinning with some power as a three run homerun gave them the lead, but tonight it was there speed and small ball that did it for them in another 3 run 8thinning that led to the eventual win.  The inning was led off by last nights hero Gabe Skoro who beat out a groundball to second base followed by a pinch hit single by Connor Wojahn.  Brendan Power laid down the sacrifice bunt to move the runners into scoring position that set the stage for Alex Lambeau who dropped a double down the right field line to tie the game.  Lambeau would come around to score on a booted groundball hit by Kyle Manzardo for the game-winning run.  Pickles pitching was excellent through out the game as Joel Casillas and Titus Groeneweg each threw 4 innings a piece and only surrendered a run a piece, while Connor Thurman threw a perfect 9thto nail down the save.  Pickles were led on offense by leadoff hitter Alex Lambeau who was 1-4 with two RBI.
