Pickles Drop Game Three

In the final game of this three game series, it was the visitors from Victoria that used a little late game magic.  The Pickles were a strike away from wrapping up the sweep and then a two run double gave Victoria a lead that they would eventually hold on to by a final score of 7-5. The Pickles were still able to salvage a series victory by taking the first two games of the series, ultimately resulting in a successful weekend home stand.  Michael Newstrom led the way on the mound throwing 4 innings of relief and only surrendering 4 hits and one run.  Christian Ciuffetelli had a spotless inning of relief in his Pickle debut as well.  Pickles bats had a good night and were led by a 4-5, 2 RBI performance from Chase Luttrell and a 2-5, 3 RBI performance form Darius Perry.  Pickles will not be back at home until the fourth of July, but will hit the road to take on the Kelowna Falcons and Bellingham Bells in the upcoming week.
