Wednesday nights game took a very similar form as the first game of the series as the Walla Walla Sweets jumped out to an early lead. The only difference this time is the Pickles just barely didn’t have enough offense to answer the early call from the visiting team. The Pickles bats were held silent through the first seven innings before finally cracking the scoreboard in the 8th inning as Kyle Manzardo ripped an RBI single past the first basemen, a few batters later, Chase Luttrell lined a double down the left field line to plate two more, but that would be all the Pickles had offensively on the night as they eventually dropped game two by a score of 5-3. Tyler Vicars was a bright spot on the mound out of the pen going two innings while only surrendering one hit and one walk. The Pickles were paced on offense by Chase Luttrell, who was 3-4 on the night with a pair of RBI. Pickles and Sweets will play the rubber match of this three game series tomorrow night, with first pitch scheduled for 7:05 PM.
