PORTLAND PICKLES PACK WALKER STADIUM WITH EMO NIGHT, MASS WEDDING AND EXCLUSIVE DAVE WARREN SIMPsONS INSPIRED CARDS THIS WEEKEND
PORTLAND, Ore. — The Portland Pickles are bringing one of the biggest weekends of the summer to Walker Stadium with three signature promotions that blend baseball, music, art and community.
Fans can relive the emo era on Friday, watch more than 35 couples say "I do" on the field Saturday, and celebrate the return of Simpsons Night on Sunday with the debut of an exclusive Dave Warren trading card collection.
Friday
Friday, July 10 – Emo Night
Walker Stadium transforms into Portland's biggest emo throwback as fans relive the soundtrack of the 2000s with themed entertainment, music throughout the night and plenty of opportunities to scream every lyric.
Rockin' the Walk begins the evening with a live performance by Portland emo/pop-punk band Sadgasm before first pitch. The Pickle All Stars will be wearing All Black uniforms for the first time in team history.
Saturday
Saturday, July 11 – The Biggest Wedding of the Summer
More than 35 couples will exchange vows on the field during one of the most unique ceremonies in sports as former NFL punter and fan favorite Jon Ryan serves as officiant.
Couples interested in participating can still register to say "I do" at Walker Stadium during the game.
Sunday
Sunday, July 12 – Simpsons Night
The first 2,000 fans through the gates will receive one of seven exclusive trading cards. launching what is expected to become one of the club's most collectible giveaways.
Only 100 complete seven-card collector sets will be available for purchase at the merchandise booth while supplies last.
Known for helping shape some of Portland's most recognizable visual identities, legendary Portland artist Dave Warren has created an original seven-card trading card collection celebrating the personalities, legends and lore that make the Pickles uniquely Portland.
The series features original artwork of Portland Mayor Keith Wilson, Dillon T. Pickle, Kyle Manzardo, The Germ, John Gourley and the mythical Golden Pickle.
