PORTLAND PICKLES AND KOIN 6 ANNOUNCE 2026 BROADCAST PARTNERSHIP EXPANSION

The Portland Pickles are excited to announce an expanded media partnership with Nexstar Media Inc. for the 2026 season, bringing the team’s unique brand of “championship baseball and family fun” to more screens than ever before. For the 2026 season, Pickles games will be anchored on KOIN+, the premier Connected TV app available on Roku, Samsung, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV, ensuring fans can catch every pitch live from anywhere in the Portland metro area.

This year’s partnership builds on a historic foundation, introducing new content and interactive programming leading up to the season. Throughout May, KOIN 6 will spotlight the Portland Cherry Bombs, Portland Bangers, and Portland Pickles through a series of on-air features, alongside appearances from fan-favorite personalities including Dillon T. Pickle, Saucy T. Sausage, and Mary T. Cherry. Segments will also feature exclusive ticket deals accessible via on-screen QR codes.

“Our partnership with KOIN 6 and Nexstar continues to be a home run for our teams and our fans,” said Ross Campbell, Chief of Staff for the Portland Pickles, Portland Bangers FC, and Portland Cherry Bombs FC. “Moving our primary streaming focus to KOIN+ for the Pickles, Bangers, and Cherry Bombs allows us to reach our audience directly where they watch, while continuing to celebrate the culture of community these teams bring to Portland sports.”

In addition to live game broadcasts, the 2026 season will feature the “Pickles Porch Weather Forecast,” a branded game-day graphic providing real-time temperature updates and ticket call-to-actions. Fans can also look forward to up to six live weather broadcasts hosted directly from Walker Stadium during key game days, along with weekly highlight features on Game On Sports.

“Local sports are the fabric of our community, and nothing reflects the Portland ethos better than the Portland Pickles," said Tom Keeler, Vice President and General Manager of KOIN and KRCW. "We are thrilled to bring one of Portland’s most beloved franchises to a wider audience through KOIN+ and our localized digital strategies.”
