THE FIRST PICKLE WITH 4 LEGS
WE HAVE CALLED UP THEIR MOST PROMISING PROSPECT YET: WILMA THE BAT DOG
She’s disciplined. She’s focused. And she’s officially reporting for duty.
Meet Wilma, the official bat dog of the Portland Pickles.
After eight months of training and a steady diet of baseball highlights, Wilma is ready to make her bat retrieval debut at the Pickles’ home opener on May 26 at 7:05 p.m. at Walker Stadium — kicking off what is shaping up to be the biggest season in Pickles history.
With packed crowds, nonstop entertainment, and signature Portland Pickles summer chaos back at Walker Stadium, Wilma joins the roster at the perfect time. Her responsibilities include retrieving bats, winning over fans, and maintaining clubhouse morale at an elite level.
Wilma reportedly only watches baseball and has shown little to no interest in any other sport, entertainment, or activity that does not involve bats, gloves, or a well-executed double play.
Fans attending Opening Night can expect elite hustle, crowd-pleasing retrieves, and the strong possibility that Wilma becomes a Portland sports icon before the seventh inning stretch.
The Pickles’ biggest season yet starts May 26 at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available now at https://www.picklestickets.com/
