PORTLAND PICKLES GIVE NEARLy $22,000 TO LOCAL NONPROFITS THROUGH PICKLES CARE
Record-setting 2026 Pickles Care campaign supports Friends of Baseball and Softball, Path Home and Unite Oregon
PORTLAND, Ore. — September 9, 2026 — The Portland Pickles are proud to announce the most successful Pickles Care campaign in club history, generating $21,894.99 in support for three local nonprofit organizations during the 2026 season.
The Pickles distributed $7,298.33 each to their three 2026 Pickles Care nonprofit partners: Friends of Baseball and Softball, Path Home and Unite Oregon.
Pickles Care is the community impact arm of the Portland Pickles, using the team, Walker Stadium and the energy surrounding Pickles baseball to support organizations doing important work throughout Portland. This season's fundraising included the club's in-stadium initiatives, which gave fans another way to participate and support the team's nonprofit partners.
“Being part of Portland means being part of the community outside of Walker Stadium too,” said Alan Miller, President of the Portland Pickles. “Pickles Care is about using the platform we have to support organizations doing important work in our city. We're incredibly proud to be able to give nearly $22,000 to these three organizations, and even more proud that our fans and community helped make it possible.”
The 2026 Pickles Care partners included:
Friends of Baseball & Softball — For more than 20 years, Friends of Baseball & Softball has worked to remove barriers and create greater access to baseball and softball for young people. Today, the organization reaches youth across five school districts, using the game to create opportunities, provide mentorship and help young people thrive on and beyond the field.
“We believe every young person has the capacity to succeed when given the opportunity and surrounded by a community that believes in them,” said Aaron Dickson, Executive Director of Friends of Baseball & Softball. “For us, baseball and softball are the vehicle for creating access, opportunity and meaningful connections. We’re grateful to the Portland Pickles, Pickles Care and their fans for their support and for helping more young people thrive on and beyond the field.”
Path Home — Works to end homelessness for families with children through prevention, shelter, housing and long-term support.

Unite Oregon — Builds collective power with immigrant, refugee, Black, Indigenous and communities of color through organizing, leadership development and policy advocacy.
